Every Verstara piece is handcrafted using fine metals, precious stones, and meaningful inclusions such as horsehair or cremation ash. This warranty reflects our commitment to uncompromising quality and lifelong care.
1) Warranty Duration & Scope
Verstara offers a two-year limited warranty from the date of delivery. This warranty covers manufacturer’s defects in materials or craftsmanship that occur under normal wear.
The woven horsehair element carries a Lifetime Weave Guarantee.
2) What Qualifies as a Manufacturer’s Defect
- Prongs, joints, or solder points that fail prematurely
- Loose stones caused by setting defects, not impact
- Bezels or channels that detach uniformly
- Inclusion settings (hair or ash) that fail due to sealing or structural error
3) What Is Not Covered
- Scratches, dents, or metal wear from normal use
- Damage caused by impact, bending, snagging, or improper storage
- Discoloration from exposure to chemicals, cosmetics, or hot tubs
- Stone loss due to trauma, daily wear, or impact
- Movement of inclusions resulting from resizing or force
- Third-party alterations, polishing, or repairs
- Theft, loss, or misuse
4) Stone & Setting Coverage
Verstara will reimburse the cost of repair work up to $100CAD/US (once per piece) for stone replacement or setting repair when completed by a qualified jeweller. The cost of replacement stones is not covered. An invoice and photograph of the completed repair are required for reimbursement consideration.
5) Hair & Ash Inclusions
Each inclusion is sealed using proprietary methods designed for strength and longevity:
- If reweaving or resetting is required due to a verified manufacturing fault or necessary jeweller repair, Verstara will complete this at no charge.
- If the inclusion requires reweaving or resetting due to normal wear or accidental damage, Verstara offers this service for a fee.
6) Lifetime Weave Guarantee
The woven horsehair within your Verstara piece is covered for the lifetime of the company. For as long as Verstara continues to operate, we will reweave and restore your piece’s horsehair element at no cost if it becomes loosened or worn through normal wear.
If the horsehair is found to be damaged due to improper care, neglect, or exposure to chemicals, a restoration service will be available for a fee.
7) Resizing
Verstara can resize most rings up to two sizes. If the piece contains a hair or ash inclusion, resizing will include a full reweave and reset, available for a fee. Resizing by a third-party jeweller voids this warranty.
8) Authorized Jewellers
If a repair or adjustment is completed by a third party, the jeweller must:
- Be an established fine jewellery business with at least five years in operation, or hold recognized professional certification
- Provide an itemized invoice and proof of credentials
Repairs by unqualified or uncertified jewellers are not eligible for reimbursement.
