What is Private Design Experience?
Private Design is for creating something completely unique that doesn't exist in any collection. You work directly with me to design a custom piece from scratch - incorporating family stones or bringing a specific vision to life. This is not for alterations to existing styles.
How many design revisions do I get?
Up to 5 revision rounds are included. This ensures we refine your design to perfection while protecting the creative process. In my experience, most clients reach their perfect design within 2-3 revisions.
Is the $500 consultation fee refundable?
No. The consultation fee covers all design development work (sketches, concept development, technical planning) and is non-refundable regardless of whether you proceed with the final piece. However, it is fully applied toward your final piece cost when you approve the design.
What's the minimum investment for the final piece?
Final pieces start at $3,000 and are crafted in 10K gold or higher. The consultation fee of $500 is applied to this total. Sterling silver is not available for Private Design Pieces.
How long does the process take?
Consultation is scheduled within 48 hours of booking. Design development typically takes 1-4 weeks depending on complexity and revision rounds. Once the final design is approved and payment received, you receive priority production timeline ahead of standard orders. From this point, most pieces take 4-6 weeks.
What if I need more time to decide after seeing the design?
Your consultation fee and design work remain valid for 12 months from your consultation date. You can take time to save, plan, or make your decision without pressure. Quotes for your design however are only valid for 14 days.
Can I use this for alterations to existing Verstara styles?
No. Private Design Experience is exclusively for completely new, custom designs. If you want to modify one of our signature styles (Cambridge, Angel, Zara, etc.), that's a Design Alteration - contact us at info@verstara.com for alteration pricing and timeline.
What happens if I don't like the final design?
We work through up to 5 revision rounds to ensure you love your design. If after revisions you decide not to proceed, the consultation fee is retained for the design work completed, and you are under no obligation to continue.
Do I get to keep my design sketches if I don't proceed?
Design concepts and sketches remain intellectual property of Verstara. If you proceed with the piece, you receive final design documentation with your completed jewelry.
How do I prepare for my consultation?
After booking, you'll receive preparation materials including inspiration gathering guides, technical questions about your vision, and what to have ready for our call. This ensures we make the most of our consultation time together.
What shipping company do you use for shipping?
A: Your order will be shipped priority courier via FedEx, Purolator or UPS.
