Cadence Ring
The Cadence Ring
Dual Horsehair Channel Crossover Ring
Two slim bands cross and intertwine in elegant rhythm, each holding a channel of your horse's tail hair. The Cadence is designed for those who want their horse—or horses—visible from every angle, without the formality of diamonds. Pure. Refined. Unmistakably equestrian.
What Makes the Cadence Special
✓ Two horsehair channels – Double the hair, double the visibility, twice the meaning
✓ Crossed band design – Elegant X-shape that symbolizes paths, and lives, crossing
✓ No diamonds needed – Understated luxury for those who want their horse to be the focal point
✓ Perfect for pairs – Ideal for two horses, or place a horse in one channel and ashes of a loved one or pet in the other channel
Design & Comfort
The Cadence features two slender bands, each just 3.3mm wide, gently crossing over each other to create a refined, feminine silhouette. The slim profile feels weightless between your fingers—comfortable enough to wear daily at the barn, elegant enough to dress up for any occasion. Whether you're riding, working, or celebrating, the Cadence moves with you effortlessly.
Who It's For
The Cadence is for equestrians who have two horses they want to honor in one ring—or for those who want maximum visibility of a single horse's tail hair without the sparkle of diamonds. If you're looking for something elegant, meaningful, and entirely about your horse, this is your ring.

Q: How do I collect and send my horsehair?
Full instructions are here: How It Works
Q: How do I find my ring size?
Verstara rings run true to size. For wide bands (8mm+), order a half size up from your usual ring size. If you don't know your size, any local jewelry store can size you with a 4mm band, or you can grab a reusable ring sizer from us. Once the hair is set, these rings aren't easy to resize — so it's worth getting this right upfront.
Q: How do I find my bracelet size?
Use a soft measuring tape or a piece of string around your wrist. Take that measurement and add ¾" to 1" — so a 6" wrist becomes a 6.75–7" bracelet. That's your finished length, hardware included. You can also just go with what feels right, or measure a bracelet you already love.
Q: How long does it take to receive my order?
Most horsehair pieces take 8 weeks. Everything is made to order — I don't keep blanks on hand. You'll get an email the moment your you check out and you can follow the process the entire way, and you're welcome to check in anytime.
Q: Can I have my piece made from more than one horse?
Yes — your whole herd can live in one piece. If you want the hair kept separate or arranged a certain way, just leave a note in the comments at checkout.
Q: What's the difference between the braid styles?
The fishtail is a flat braid. The round braid uses 4 plaits and has a tube shape. The square braid uses 8 plaits and has a box shape. The 5 strand braid uses 5 plaits and is flat.
The hair for most rings is woven, each strand is individually woven with other strands to create an incredibly strong and durable "ribbon"
Q: How do I care for my horsehair keepsake?
I wear mine every day, and I built these pieces to hold up to that. They can get wet — I'd just avoid swimming or showering in them. Treat it like your other fine jewelry, and it'll last a lifetime.
Q: What shipping company do you use?
Your finished piece ships via Canada Post. If you'd rather use a courier, you can select that at checkout.
Q: Do you ship outside Canada?
Yes — worldwide. If you are shopping from outside of the US, please visit www.verstara.ca to place your order
